Dropbox
What is Dropbox?
Dropbox is an online file hosting service. It allows users to upload, store, and download files and share them with others. Users have an account with Dropbox that gives them their own space to store and organize files. Each file or folder can then be shared with others if necessary. The amount of storage available depends on the account the user has with Dropbox.
Babelway and Dropbox
Babelway saw potential value in adding the ability to designate a folder in Dropbox to be a input gateway for a Babelway channel. Using this functionality, Babelway users can leverage their Dropbox account to send/receive files to/from their partners. This gives you simple access to B2B integration methods without the need for any other technology like AS2 or FTP. If you can manage your files within your Dropbox account, Babelway can access them and deliver them to your partner.
Getting started with Babelway
1. Click on the Dropbox link on the gateway
2. Follow steps to connect your Dropbox account
3. You're ready to go.
The setup is relatively straightforward. Upon selecting the Dropbox gateway in Babelway, you’ll be prompted with a link that takes you to your Dropbox account. Babelway will be a third party app that you must give access to a certain folder in Dropbox. After that, all you need to do is designate which folder will be used for delivering files to Babelway. Once deployed, Babelway will take care of the rest!
