Database Connector. What is it ?
The Database Connector allows you to connect Babelway with a Database in order to retrieve or insert data.
The database connector currently includes out of the box support for Oracle and PostgreSQL. All other database engines, including MS SQL Server can be added upon request.
Here is how the setup looks in Babelway
To retrieve data from a Database, the following parameters will be defined
- Host : The host of the database you wish to connect to.
- User and password
- Database system : Oracle or PostgreSQL (others available upon request)
- Database Name
- SSL for an optional secured connection to the database.
- Table Name : Table containing the data to retrieve
- Column name(s) can be added if data needs to be retrieved from a limit set of columns (blank = all)
After data is retrieved, the row can be either deleted or updated.
To insert data from a Database, the following parameters will be defined
- Host : The host of the database you wish to connect to.
- User and password
- Database system : Oracle or PostgreSQL (Others on request)
- Database Name
- SSL for an optional secured connection to the database.
