In 2014, the European Parliament and Council voted on Directive 2014/55/EU. It indicates that “EU Member States shall adopt e-invoicing so that it will become mandatory for all (Public sector) contracting authorities and their suppliers to receive and process e-invoices complying with the European standard, by April 18th, 2019”.
Through the POOL-TSP Project, and thanks to the financial support of CEF (Connecting Europe Facility), we can now confirm that we reach this goal. The first partner we were assigned for testing was Intesa (IBM group) and we were able to both confirm our ability to process CII and UBL invoices successfully using AS4. Both solutions are aligned with the target goal of providing Europe with cutting edge B2B integration solutions.
