SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is an Internet standard for electronic mail (e-mail) transmission across Internet Protocol (IP) networks. The e-mail gateway can be client (Babelway fetches or sends emails to an external SMTP server) or server (the e-mail waits on Babelway SMTP server to be fetched by an external system).

Babelway supports SMTP connections for incoming and outgoing messages.

SMTP connections allow to connect to virtually anyone since a simple e-mail exchange with a file attachment is within reach of any organization.
