SOLUTION

The messaging Engine offers a large range of message formats, exchange protocols and management features.

Babelway supports web, ftp(s), smtp/pop3, Web Services (soap) and AS2 connectivity protocols in sending and reception mode. It allows messages in any structured flat-file formats (ASCII, EDIFACT, etc), XML or Excel. Messages are routed from their source to their target destination through the Babelway infrastructure.

As a Babelway customer, you configure just one interface type to the Babelway infrastructure and agree to exchange data via any Babelway protocol with your external partners. No need for hard/soft equipment, nor in-house technical skills. No need either for external partners to subscribe to Babelway services; they don't even need to know about it.

Email alerts will inform you of any messaging activity. In the event of a failed message delivery within a set timeframe, the alert will also include the diagnosis and a link to the intervention area providing the simplest management and maintenance environment. Each message transaction is safely stored and available for review.

You can profile different types of users within Babelway, defining their level of permissions and alert notifications. These users can be part of your own organisation, the service providers responsible for maintaining your system or partners with whom you exchange data. The messaging service secures the transport via SSL. It also includes the option of using a public/private key system and of importing/exporting digital certificates using the latest security standards.
