3.6. Importing Items from an URL

Import items from the public catalogue or from an URL sent by another User.

There are many ways to import an Item into one of your channels:

From the public catalogue, by clicking the import button.
From an email send by another user, by clicking the included link.
In the Babelway forum, by clicking the reference to a shared Item.

When you start one of these actions, the Import Wizard will try to guess the Imported Item's destination. If it doesn't have enough information it will display a selection screen asking which Hub and/or Channel to use.

Import into

The Destination Hub and Channel where the Item will be imported. A new Hub or a new Channel can also be selected.

if there is only one Hub, the Hub selection drop down is not displayed.
if the imported Item is a Channel, only the Hub must be selected.
